In 1999, my journey in theatres began as a dedicated Theatre Support. Eager to excel, I pursued ODP training and ventured into private healthcare, immersing myself in various specialties and roles, including Scrub, Anaesthetics, and Recovery. My passion for delivering exceptional care led me to qualify as an ODP in 2002, earning recognition as a Senior member of the team through my consistent display of outstanding clinical skills, effective communication, and team-building acumen. My ability to lead and organize teams, manage budgets, and explore new business opportunities further solidified my position.

Over the years, I honed and expanded these skills, taking on challenging roles such as Team Lead and Interim Theatre Manager. These responsibilities encompassed overseeing daily operations, managing budgets and inventory, optimizing staffing levels and skill mix, and adeptly handling conflicts and complex problem-solving.

Recently, I embraced a business development role, collaborating with an Executive Director to drive growth in a private hospital, successfully achieving a remarkable 12% growth within a relatively short timeframe. Now, my focus is on realising my next aspiration; establishing an elite theatre team. Partnering with Nicki has been instrumental in bringing this shared vision to life, culminating in the formation of Premier Surgical Alliance Ltd. Together, we are poised to revolutionise surgical services and create a premier standard of care that reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence.

With a career spanning over three decades in the healthcare industry, I embarked on my journey as an Enrolled Nurse in 1987, graduating from St. Georges Hospital in London. My initial 18 months of invaluable ward experience laid the foundation for my transition to the operating theatres, where I underwent comprehensive theatre training and ODP training. Committed to continuous growth, I further enriched my expertise through various teaching and assessing courses before achieving the esteemed conversion to Registered Nurse.

In 1993, my passion for delivering exceptional care led me to embrace the private sector while concurrently pursuing a BSc Hons in Health Studies. During this time, I served as a Locum ODP, contributing to diverse healthcare settings and honing my proficiency in the field. To diversify my experiences, I briefly ventured into commercial Orthopaedic Sales, where my dedication earned me the prestigious title of Salesperson of the Year thrice in five years.

In 2004, I took on the role of a Surgical Assistant, concurrently serving as an Independent Sales Consultant. This unique combination enabled me to gain insights from both the clinical and commercial aspects of healthcare, deepening my understanding of the industrys intricacies. Subsequently, in 2009, I transitioned to full-time Clinical Services, adeptly dividing my time between Assisting, Surgical Scrub, Anaesthetics, and Recovery.

As I continued to immerse myself in the healthcare realm, the realization of a pressing need for an Elite Theatre Team became evident. A fortuitous encounter with Kelly, a like-minded individual, ignited our shared vision for uncompromisingly high standards in healthcare. Drawing upon our similar experiences and unwavering commitment, we jointly founded Premier Surgical Alliance LTD, an entity driven by excellence and dedicated to elevating the standards of surgical care.

Together, we are inspired to transform the landscape of surgical services, placing a profound emphasis on exceptional patient care, cutting-edge practices, and the development of a truly elite surgical team. As we embark on this journey, we remain steadfast in our pledge to uphold the values of professionalism, innovation, and unwavering dedication to patient well-being.
